SeaSolve Software Inc (SSI) is a leading supplier of real-time test and measurement solutions for testing and analyzing the performance of IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee (WPAN), IEEE 802.11a/b/g (WLAN), IEEE 802.16-2004 (WiMAX) and IEEE 802.16e (Mobile WiMAX) transmitters and receivers.

Test and Measurement Solutions for Wireless Systems

SeaSolve’s products can be broadly classified into compliance testing, signal generation, signal analysis and manufacturing test solutions, that are designed as per ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4), WLAN (802.11a/b/g) and WiMAX (802.16-2004, and 802.16e) standards.

SeaSolve’s signal generation and signal analysis products implement complete PHY and MAC layer functionality. They are designed to help investigate and isolate functional issues that arise during design and validation testing - quickly and efficiently.

Our manufacturing test tools can be provided as stand-alone APIs, a .dll library, a set of TestStand Custom Step Types (CSTs) and/or a fully integrated automated application, designed to work seamlessly with NI’s LabVIEW & TestStand applications as well as many other industry standard ADEs, such as C/C++, VB etc.

For test engineering not conversant with standards’ conformance requirements, SeaSolve’s WPAN Compliance Test, WiPAN LVCT is a tool that provides a fully automated application for evaluating standard-conformance of a ZigBee device. These tests are ready to use based on IEEE 802.15.4 specifications and are available on the National Instruments PXI-5660/5671 RF platform.

SeaSolve also has a suite of IP cores that can be incorporated into 3rd-party device designs. They include entire PHY and MAC implementations of various wireless standards as well as components and algorithms that can be utilized as functional blocks of a wireless and/or embedded device. These are available as fixed point implementations or as synthesizable VHDL source codes.

SeaSolve solutions are exclusively used by:

  • Certifying Labs/Test houses who need to assure product conformance to standard specifications
  • R&D organizations, Universities, Defense, and Government organizations that perform research on WLAN, WPAN and WiMAX technologies and devices
  • Wireless chipset manufacturers for functionality verification, precertification, manufacturing, and production testing.
  • Equipment manufacturers and vendors to precertify products and benchmark their performance.
